Jonathan Saunders studied at Glasgow School of Art and then went on to Central Saint Martin’s, graduating with an MA in Printed Textiles in 2002. Best known for his work with prints, Saunders has built a trademark in the use of his silk screen techniques, developing the concept of engineering prints around pattern pieces, whilst the print is still integral to his designs. Each piece in his collections has a specifically designed print to work with the shape rather than vice-versa.
In addition to designing for his own label, Saunders is creative director of Milan-based fashion house Pollini and has designed ranges for retail chains Target and Topshop.
