Richard Nicoll, born in London but then was raised in Australia, graduated at Central Saint Martins in 2002 where, by his surprise, Dolce and Gabbana brought his entire collection. Since then he has experienced a meteoric rise to international fashion fame and has achieved many awards along the way. His trademark pieces are silk T-shirt dresses, geometric cut, oversized garments which means one size fits all and you don’t have to worry about gaining a few pounds here and there. The images in the collage above are of his S/S2011 collection, this really stood out for me. It featured sexy transparencies and high waisted, ultra glam sportswear. Each individual piece works nicely alone yet looks just as beautiful as a collection. There is a mixture of structured garments but in contrast there are much fluid and softer garments and with the transparent fabric it looks feminine and elegant.
